Jacksonville Beaches begin to Reopen Following COVID-19 Quarantine
This past week was a big week for Florida — we experienced the deadliest day so far and Jacksonville beaches reopened.
Florida is one of the first states to start gradually reopening public spaces, beaches included. On Friday, hundreds of people headed to the beaches following the news of the new opening. Despite the reopening of beaches, K-12 schools will stay closed for the rest of the school year.
What this means for lifeguards is still to be decided. We will continue to release news as we learn of new updates regarding beaches. We continue to send wishes to you and your family to stay safe and healthy throughout this time of uncertainty.
